WordPress Developer – Paphos

Our client is a dynamic and growing marketing company looking for an experienced WordPress Web Developer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining WordPress-based websites, ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of clients’ websites.

 

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain custom WordPress-based websites, themes, and plugins
• Translate Figma designs and wireframes into functional products
• Develop and implement website features and functionality
• Perform quality assurance tests on all developed websites
• Work with our team of marketing experts to optimize website performance
• Integrate third-party applications and APIs to enhance website functionality
• Ensure website security and compliance with industry standards
• Work closely with other developers and project managers to ensure timely project delivery
• Keep up-to-date with emerging web technologies and industry trends

 

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a WordPress Web Developer.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL.
• Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
• Ability to translate Figma designs and wireframes into functional products.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and design.
• Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and how to work around them.
• Understanding of general web functions and standards (HTTP, DNS, SSL, etc.).
• Knowledge of responsive design and development.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub version control.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, web development, or related field.

 

Beneficial Skills:

• Previous experience developing XML APIs
• Knowledge of e-commerce CMS platforms like Shopify
• Familiarity with other CMS platforms like Drupal and Joomla
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Vue.js
• Understanding of SEO best practices and web analytics
• Ability to troubleshoot server and hosting issues
